At The Tint Shop the well-being of our customers and staff has always been our highest priority. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented a range of safety measures to ensure every interaction is conducted in a safe and hygienic manner. From rigorous hand hygiene and social distancing to careful use of personal protective equipment and surface disinfection, our policies are designed to protect everyone we work with, in line with guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England (PHE).
General Business Policy
To reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in our workplace and during customer interactions, we have implemented the following measures:
- Social Distancing: Staff and customers are encouraged to maintain appropriate social distancing at all times. Physical greetings such as handshakes are avoided.
- Health Screening: No employees have recently returned from high-risk countries, and none have knowingly been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
- Hygiene Practices: Staff wash their hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, drying them with disposable paper towels. Hand sanitiser is available throughout our premises and is used regularly.
- Respiratory Etiquette: Staff cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or their elbow when coughing or sneezing, dispose of tissues immediately, and use hand sanitiser afterwards.
- Staff Training: All employees are trained on current COVID-19 safety procedures and are expected to follow them at all times, both in the workplace and when visiting customer premises.
Window Film Installation Policy
When working in a customer’s home or office, we take extra precautions to reduce risk:
- Minimising Contact: Staff minimise physical contact with surfaces, objects, and furnishings wherever possible.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Face masks are worn when entering premises, where supply permits. Disposable gloves are used, with hand sanitiser applied before and after wearing them.
- Surface Disinfection: After completing any installation, all touched surfaces are disinfected using disposable cloths and approved cleaning products, following Public Health England guidance.
- Workshop Cleanliness: Our workshop is cleaned regularly. Card payment machines are disinfected after each use, and display areas are sanitised multiple times daily to maintain a hygienic environment.
How Customers Can Help
To support our safety measures, we kindly ask customers to:
- Notify Us of Health Concerns: Inform us immediately if anyone in your household or office is feeling unwell, has a confirmed COVID-19 case, or has been in close contact with a confirmed case.
- Prepare the Workspace: Clear the area around windows prior to installation to minimise unnecessary contact with surfaces and objects. This helps our staff work safely and efficiently.
- Follow Staff Guidance: Follow any guidance provided by our team during the visit, including maintaining social distancing and using hand sanitiser where requested.
